
Scanner Board components
You can review the image above to see the different components of the scanner board. Scanner name: The name of the scanner you are currently viewing. Last minute grade: Can be either A+ or F-. The minute preceding the alert is evaluated and graded.- A+ indicates a low float stock experiencing high trading volume per second and significant upward price momentum within the last minute.
- F- indicates a low float stock experiencing high trading volume per second and significant downward price momentum within the last minute.

- A new trading day begins
Note: Both market open and the start of a new trading day automatically clear all muted tickers.
Ticker Info Card
The scanner board consists of ticker cards. Each ticker card displays information about stocks that match your criteria at the moment they are detected by the scanner
- Ticker symbol
- Latest price when the stock was detected (in parentheses)
- Trades per second: The rate of transactions occurring for the stock. This metric indicates the stock’s trading activity level.
- Last minute %: The stock’s percentage change within the last minute.
- Float: The float of the stock. The float is the total number of shares that are available for public investors to buy and sell. The less float available, the easier it is for the stock to move up or down.
- Gap: The percentage difference between the previous day’s closing price and the current price.
- % Open: The percentage difference between today’s opening price and the current price. This data is only available during regular trading hours (RTH).
- Day High: The stock’s highest price reached during the current trading day.
- Day Volume: The total number of shares traded. During pre-market, volume accumulates from 4AM ET; during regular trading hours, volume accumulates from 9:30AM ET.
- News: Quick access to recent stock news. Clicking the news icon opens a new tab with the latest updates from Finviz or StockTwits.
Background colors
You can see that the various data points on the ticker have a color-coded background. These colors provide a quick visual reference to help you assess the stock’s current status. As a general rule, the darker the color shade, the more significant the value. These color gradients are calibrated to their respective data types. For example, the green scale used for Gap % is specific to gap percentages and differs from the green scale used for Last Minute %.
